Target Archery

During the fall season DCWC will convert half the practice range into a 60- yard Olympic style target archery field.

The range may utilizes  the very same target faces used in “world class competitions.“

Great extras to bring with you are a spotting scope and a cooler full of cold drinks.

:

DCWC schedules several different “600 Target Round” matches a year.

A typical “600 Round” consists of archers shooting 4 ends of 5 arrows at three different distances.

These are usually 40, 50 and 60 yards or meters.

All shots are at the same target and on the same  shooting lane.

That makes 20 shots at each distance for a total of 60 arrows.

We also have targets set up for novice archers at 10, 20 and 30 yards or meters and for intermediate archers at 20, 30 and 40 yards or meters.

DCWC will host:

1. “Atlantic City Open 600 round” warm up shoots at a large 92cm multi-colored target face usually during the spring.

2. “American 600 round” at a huge 122 cm multicolored target face in the fall. This is the same sized target that is shot at Olympic competitions.

*** American 600 Round Format: Large 122cm Multi-color target face. 5 arrow ends, 4 ends at each distance for 60 arrows total. 4 minutes per end. Total # of 10’s will decide tie breakers, 1st place only then if still tied after 10 count will go to sudden death one end at a time, total score only at 60 yards.
